When all was said and done, we, of course, ended up with more stuff than we needed but it was definitely better to be safe than sorry.
The training we did was enjoyable, we got a few good walks and found some new places in our own areas that we hadn't come across before. We walked for miles thinking that it would be enough to prepare us, we were of course, wrong.
These are some of the readings from the walks I did-
This was the reading I got when I got home from doing Snowdon-

As you can see, there is a massive difference and not only in distance but the fact that Snowdon is a mountain and is a constant uphill definitely meant I was totally unprepared, Still managed it though, surprisingly.
We were told that we would need 3 litres of water, which I doubted I would need because I don't drink a whole lot, I thought I'd better though, because again, better to be safe than sorry. I actually only drank around a litre whilst walking up and down Snowdon so I know not to bother carrying all that extra weight for the next one.
We were also told that we would need snacks. We did our snack shopping the day before and of course, got way too much. I struggled because I wasn't eating and wasn't in the mood to eat thus wasn't in the mood to look at or choose the food I'd be taking. I just grabbed one of everything I thought I might fancy just in case. It was better to have lots of options to convince me to eat than limited choice that I might not have wanted. Again, It added way too much weight to our rucksacks and we ended up dumping half of it before we'd even set off. typical.
Our boots had been worn in, our snacks had been chosen, our tickets were booked and we were ready to go.
